A major corruption scandal is unfolding as SPAK (Special Prosecution) investigates the Llogara Tunnel project. The National Bureau of Investigation (BKH) has seized crucial documents from "Hill International HV" and "Net Group," two companies that were awarded the tender for overseeing the construction of the tunnel.
Suspicion is mounting that these companies were given preferential treatment during the tender process, with strong connections to Valter Begaj, a businessman now arrested on corruption charges. Further complicating the situation, Evis Berberi, the former head of the Albanian Road Authority (ARRSH), is also in custody under similar charges of corruption.
As the investigation intensifies, SPAK is delving deeper into the tendering process and the potential involvement of high-ranking officials in this massive corruption scheme surrounding the Llogara Tunnel.
