Albania’s High Court has officially dismissed the request of Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha to recuse the three judges reviewing his appeal against the “obligation to appear” security measure.
Judges Ilir Panda, Sokol Binaj, and Sander Simoni, whom Berisha had accused of bias, will continue overseeing his case. The decision was signed by Judge Enton Dhimitri, marking another judicial blow for the former Prime Minister.
The hearing has been rescheduled for April 22, when the court will also address the appeal filed by Berisha’s son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezi. Both men face travel restrictions and mandatory court appearances, amid an ongoing investigation by SPAK.
