Massive Drug Bust in Ankara: 525 Suspects Arrested!

In what has been declared the largest anti-drug operation in Turkey’s history, police forces in Ankara have arrested 525 suspected drug dealers in a sweeping crackdown targeting online narcotics distribution.

The operation, led by Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, involved thousands of officers, sniffer dogs, drones, and helicopters. Authorities raided over 625 locations simultaneously following a six-month surveillance effort that tracked the suspects' digital and physical movements.

The network allegedly operated through social media platforms and messaging apps, facilitating widespread narcotics sales across the capital. Minister Yerlikaya called the raid “historic” and vowed continued aggressive action against drug networks threatening the country’s youth.
